Bio
Dr Mark Kearns’ accent gives away his heritage. Born in Liverpool, he made the move Down Under in 2013 after falling in love with Melbourne. As well as graduating from medicine at the University of Leeds in 2006 (MBChB), Dr Kearns also completed a second degree in Healthcare Ethics and Law (BSc) at the University of Manchester. He received his UK Royal College Membership for General Practice in 2011 (RCGP) following a six-month placement in dermatology.
Dr Kearns’ Australian career began when he was awarded a fellowship at the Real Australian College of General Practitioners in 2013, and a couple of years later a Diploma in Clinical Dermatology from the Australian Institute of Dermatology. It wasn’t until around five years ago that cosmetic medicine piqued his interest following a course in injectable fillers. When Dr Kearns isn’t working, he seizes the opportunity to travel. Ask him about the Seven Modern Wonders of the World – he ticked the last one, Rome’s Colosseum, off his bucketlist in 2017.
