After more than two decades of dedicated service, Dr Vilma Di Maria has retired from clinical practice at the end of 2025.
Dr Vilma began working alongside Dr Howard Webster over 20 years ago, at a time when modern cosmetic medicine was still in its infancy in Australia. Just a few years after the first cosmetic injectable treatments were approved in 1999, she stepped into a field that was rapidly evolving — and helped shape it into what it is today.
Together, Dr Vilma and Dr Webster went on to co-found Dr Face, building a practice grounded in medical integrity, innovation and patient-centred care. Over the years, they embraced advancements in research and treatment techniques, delivering safe, evidence-based outcomes that have benefited thousands of patients.
Dr Vilma’s reputation grew well beyond the clinic walls. She became a nationally and internationally recognised practitioner and educator, respected for her clinical excellence, warmth, generosity and unmistakable presence. Her dedication and spirit have been woven into the fabric of Dr Face since its inception.
Her retirement marks the end of a remarkable era. We know how deeply this change will be felt by the many patients who have shared long-standing relationships with her, built on trust and genuine connection.
Dr Vilma has more than earned this next chapter. All of us at Dr Face are profoundly grateful for her leadership, friendship and contribution. While she steps away from clinical practice, her legacy will continue to inspire the care, professionalism and heart that define Dr Face.
